The past two days of weather here in MD were torturous after a week of lovely warm weather.

Bad Batch ending was very satisfying. Loved the series. Review/thoughts coming soon.

I’ve been going 100mph for the last few weeks! It got bad this week and I missed posting some photos at the end of the challenge. Things are slowing down a bit now and I’m looking forward to actually watching a movie soon.

Drove up to PA to take my son and his friends out for his 21st birthday. The traffic in the Baltimore area wasn’t greatt before, but the bridge collapse has made the problem much worse. This is going to be bad…

Missed a couple of days of the challenge…but here is our critter. She’s getting older and needing more attention from the vet. Still adorable.

I used Anthropic’s Claude today for the first time and it flat out invented quotes from Pope Benedict XVI. When I asked it for references, it apologized and said that was a summary of a statement he made but could not say where from. All of the links it referenced were old and none of them worked. Artificial, yes. Intelligence? 🤷🏽

It’s not going to happen, but I would love an iPad Mini with an OLED screen.

My wife has half a dozen of these little cactus plants around the house.

The Barnes and Noble by us has completely removed genres from the new book section so it’s impossible to tell where the new sci-fi books are. Hint: there were none! Why has this store gotten so bad?!

Cool spot in the city. Iced tea was good, bagel was good, eggs and cheese were meh. Nice vibe though.

Season 3 of Paramount Plus’ Star Trek: Strange New Worlds_ _is still in production, but the streamer has already decided to renew the series. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said of _Star Trek: Lower Decks_, which is coming to an end.

Love both of these Trek shows. I agree Lower Decks is at a good stopping point.
